Book: Future Scenarios

A collaboration between Samsung Research Lab & Rhode Island School of Design. A student research project led by Associate Professors Shona Kitchen and Cas Holman. Using vignettes to explore meaningful or emergent social behaviors, exchanges, emotional experiences and living spaces based upon sensing technologies that can interact, influence or redirect our senses to provide value (and) improve how we value our lives/living. In the interest of increasing the potential relevance and impact of new technological capabilities.

This book is a prompt for future learning and insight. The notion of the 'prompt' is an important one in that it cases an action or a feeling in the reader. The book is structured around and highlights the many questions posed by the students, instructors, and Samsung throughout the process.
